Yes, there is a conference fee of USD 50. The conference fee should be paid by all participants. It covers lunch and venue fee for offline participants, and service fee for online participants. If you are travelling internationally, Krakow airport has a decent network of connections. If Krakow does not suit you, you can also fly via Warsaw.
If you are travelling from Warsaw, it's best to take a train from Warsaw Central Station (Warszawa Centralna) to Krakow Main Station (Krakow Glowny). Take a train marked as "EIP" - they are the fastesest and most convenient. Remember to buy your tickets before the travel! They sell out fast.

The Krakow airport has a well organized train connection to Krakow city center. It's cheapest and most convenient to use the train, which costs about $2 and takes about 25 minutes.
In case you missed a train or prefer a direct shuttle to your hotel, Uber, Bolt, FreeNOW and airport taxis have a fixed rate of 49 PLN (approx $10) or 69 PLN (depending on distance) to the city center.

Otherwise, Uber, Bolt, FreeNOW work well in Krakow.
Krakow, as a 2nd largest city in Poland has many renown international hotels. You should easily find a suitable lodging near the conference venue, which is in the city center. For availability and fares check websites like booking.com or trivago.com.

At the moment (May 1st, 2022) you do not need to wear a mask outdoors or indoors in Poland, only if you enter a medical facility or a pharmacy.
